Duqm Airport Achieves ‘Level 1’ Certification In Airport Carbon Accreditation Program
Muscat: The Duqm Airport has taken its first stride towards reducing its carbon footprint and becoming environmentally sustainable.
Oman Airports added another feather in its cap after the Duqm Airport achieved Level 1 ‘Mapping’ of Airport Carbon Accreditation for its operations in Duqm.
The Duqm Airport joined the Muscat International Airport and the Salalah Airport, which are both at Level 3 ‘Optimisation’ of the same certification.
The Airport Carbon Accreditation is a certification that allows airports around the globe to work collectively towards reducing their carbon footprints and addressing their impact on the environment.
The airports working towards this goal aim in making further strides in managing, reducing and ultimately neutralising their carbon footprint.
