Bank Muscat’s Tadhamun programme supports beneficiaries across Oman

In line with its leading role in Corporate Social Responsibility in Oman, Bank Muscat has completed the 7th edition of the bank’s annual Tadhamun programme, which was organised in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Sawa Nabni.

Since its inception in 2013, Tadhamun has assisted almost 1,300 social welfare families across the Sultanate over the past seven years. In 2020, the Tadhamun programme benefitted a total of 175 beneficiary families across the Sultanate. The programme supports social welfare families across the Sultanate by distributing essential household appliances including air-conditioners and refrigerators to beneficiaries. It was conducted this year after taking extra measures for the safety of all participants.

Bank Muscat extended its thanks and appreciation to the officials of the Ministry of Social Development and members of the Sawa Nabni team for their cooperation in the continuing success of the programme. The Tadhamun programme aims to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of social welfare families, who need attention and extra care. The bank seeks to continue cooperating with various institutions, societies and volunteer teams to achieve sustainability for the Tadhamun programme as well as other programmes implemented by the bank.

This year’s programme was implemented by the bank in cooperation with specialists at the Ministry of Social Development who received applications and finalised the list of those families entitled to the benefits. The CSR and sustainability strategy pursued by Bank Muscat focuses on delivering long-term benefits to the community and the nation. In line with the corporate ethos, the bank’s employees are engaged in creating opportunities to help the community through various initiatives.

The various CSR initiatives by the Bank have been recognised and felicitated, both by the government and civil society institutions in the country. Bank Muscat has been felicitated in the past few years by the Ministry of Social Development for its role in strengthening the public-private partnership through CSR activities.

The bank currently has more than 10 main programmes under its CSR umbrella including Tadhamun, Jesr Al Mustaqbal, Green Sports, Meethaq Little Investor and the Al Wathbah Academy among many others. The bank has been a pioneer of CSR activities in the country and its long-running programmes are benefiting communities across all governorates, thereby achieving excellent results in the overall development of the country.
