His Excellency Hamad Buamim, PCEO of Dubai Chamber, stressed that giving and benevolence are integral to the culture of Emiratis and are essential qualities that underpin the work of the government, with this approach established by the founding father, the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul.”

His Excellency reiterated that the name Sheikh Zayed is an embodiment for benevolence and philanthropy, both in the UAE and beyond the country’s borders. He pointed out that the Zayed Humanitarian Day celebrates a unique national identity that embodies brotherhood and regards charitable work as a means of extending the bonds between all peoples of the world.

Buamim pointed out that the current situation in the world highlights the importance of mutual support and global unity to reduce the effects of the crisis. He stressed that this commitment was epitomized by Dubai Chamber through its assistance to the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19.

The Fund helps key blue-collar employees who have been stuck in the country following the end of their contracts due to the closing of airports and the suspension of flights by helping them to return to their home countries.

His Excellency stressed that humanitarianism is the strongest link between different cultures, stressing the peace and unity that exists between all cultures, creeds and religions in the UAE. He ended by reaffirming Dubai Chamber’s commitment to upholding the ideals and principles of the founding father in the search of benevolence in goodness and supporting humanity.
