National Bank of Oman (NBO) and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA) reinforced their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for workshops with NBO’s Academy of Excellence, in addition to raising awareness on the latest practices in the banking industry.

The MoU was signed between NBO’s Chief Executive Officer Sayyid Wasfi Jamshid Al Said, and CFA’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Smith at the bank’s Headquarters in Azaiba.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, the NBO CEO said, “NBO and the CFA Institute share a common goal in equipping the next generation of young professionals with the needed skills and expertise to embrace the future head-on.

Al Said affirmed NBO’s commitment to contributing to the growth of the banking industry and said, “The growth of any industry depends on the people behind it, and at NBO we strongly believe in the power of people and what are they capable of achieving both individually and collectively.”

Smith also expressed his delight over the partnership and said, “We are thrilled to be strengthening our presence in Oman, as we strive to empower more and more Omani professionals to reach their full potential. Our relationship with the National Bank of Oman has been instrumental in our endeavours and without its unrelenting support over the past decade, CFA Oman would not be where it is today.”
