US reality TV star, socialite, and model – Kim Kardashian West – has touched the 10-digit mark as per the latest data procured by Forbes in its World’s Billionaires List for 2021.
BusinessLiveME learns that her net worth peaked at US$1bn this week thanks to her successful cosmetic and clothing lines, television endorsement deals, TV earnings, and other investments.
The star now joins 2,755 others in the uber-exclusive billionaire’s club. Kim’s husband, presidential candidate of 2020, and rap star Kanye West is also a billionaire with a net worth of US$1.8bn – which is only a touch shy of former US President Donald Trump.
Kim Kardashian, now 40, who first popped into the limelight in 2003 along with renowned socialite Paris Hilton, diversified into the reality TV industry with her show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ – a show to show the ups and downs of the Kardashian and Jenner family.
Kim’s net worth stood at US$780mn in October 2020. She has investments in the KKW Beauty cosmetics business and Skims shapewear company.
The star also has a 213mn-persons- and 69.7-persons-strong Instagram and Twitter pages, respectively.
Kim’s sister and businesswoman Kylie Jenner – who is also the youngest of the Kardashian empire currently at 23 – reportedly fell out of the Forbes billionaire rankings in 2020. At the age of 21, she was ranked (controversially) the youngest ‘self-made’ billionaire in the world.
