The stage is set for 48th UAE National Day

The United Arab Emirate’s 48th National Day is all set to be held on 2nd December, 2019. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, will lead the celebrations at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Organising Committee of the Official UAE National Day said that the celebrations will be centred around a spectacular theatrical production titled “Legacy of Our Ancestors”. The show will be staged on a scale not previously seen in the UAE with more than 5,000 experts from 70 countries coming together to shape this unmissable production, reported the state media WAM.

Fireworks will light up the Dubai skyline, dazzling residents and visitors as part of citywide celebrations surrounding the UAE’s 48th National Day.

“Head over to several locations to watch Dubai’s night sky light up in a kaleidoscope of flares and intricate patterns from 1 to 2 December, adding to the charm of the city twinkling with many other illuminations on the joyous occasion of National Day,” said the Dubai Media Office in an official statement.

National Day celebrations have been underway in the UAE over the last two weeks.

The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) will host fireworks shows on 1 and 2 December in collaboration with Meraas at three of its popular family destinations – Al Seef at 8:00 pm, La Mer at 8:30 pm and The Beach at 9:00 pm.

National Day celebrations will reach a crescendo on 2 December, as fireworks displays can be viewed at additional locations – The Pointe at 8:00 pm and Global Village at 9:00 pm. Further, visitors attending the IMAGINE show titled “Faces of the Nation” on 2 December at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City Mall, will get to enjoy spectacular fireworks displays at 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm.

Earlier on Saturday, November 30, UAE leaders observed the Commemoration Day across the nation.
