Oman To Be Home To Largest Robotics Park In Middle East

Muscat: The Sultanate is set to become a pinnacle for new technologies, including robotics and artificial intelligence, with the launch of the largest robotics park in the Middle East soon.

Authorities have set aside 3.2 million square meters of land for the Sandy Valley Robotics Park, which will be home to a number of robotics companies as well as provide an opportunity for innovators and those looking for entertainment.

The park is dedicated to research and education, and is open to young investors and innovators in the field of robotics, as well as SMEs in Oman. According to a statement given by Dr. Biju John, Chairman, Sandy Valley Robotics, this park will be the pride of Oman and will generate about 35,000 jobs in the country. The park is set to come up in Rusayl Industrial Area.

The project includes a 5-Star Hotel, a theme park cable cars, research institute for Robotics and a Robotics themed shopping avenue. The park has also attracted investors from USA, Germany, the UK, Japan and Taiwan.
