Oman Green Awards and Summit on Jan 6th, 2016

Oman Green Awards and Summit 2015 will felicitate outstanding corporates and individuals who have been working ceaselessly for the conservation and protection of the Sultanate’s environment, on January 6th, 2016.
Even as the globe celebrates June 5 as World Environment Day, we in Oman are celebrating this unique day with an event which is equally unique — by announcing the winners of prestigious Oman Green Awards (OGA) to the champions of the Sultanate’s green cause.
Mohammed bin Salim Al Toobi, minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, will preside over the function as the chief guest and give away the awards to the OGA 2015 winners at InterContinental Hotel, Muscat.
There are nine different categories of awards to be given to various environmental projects undertaken by individuals, schools, as well as the private and public sector organisations to protect and preserve the ecology of Oman.
This is the sixth edition of Oman Green Awards & Summit, which is Oman’s first and the only environment awards recognising and honouring outstanding environmental vision, endeavours and achievements of corporates and individuals.
The awards offer a unique opportunity for companies, individuals as well as corporates to participate in a national environmental awareness platform and showcase their achievements in preserving the environment and maintaining high quality natural resources.The OGA is the ultimate recognition for companies, institutions and individuals in Oman, who demonstrate a commitment towards responsible consumption and sustainable growth.
