Oman Airports Sign MoU To Develop Kilimanjaro Airport

Muscat: Oman Airports on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kilimanjaro Airport Development Company (KADCO) to develop a VIP passenger terminal at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Following this agreement, Tanzania will benefit from the airport management experience and VIP services of Oman Airport.The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Abdul Nasser Abdullah al Yamani, Vice President, Business Development, Airports of Oman, and Christine Mwakatobe of KADCO.

The Memorandum of Understanding states that Oman Airports will undertake the development of a VIP terminal and hangar facility at Kilimanjaro International Airport, the development of a 5-star passenger hotel and a holiday shopping/business center.  The Memorandum of Understanding has the potential to develop other facilities that may be mutually agreed upon by the parties.

“This partnership will be used to develop the facilities mentioned in the text of the Memorandum of Understanding to ensure the delivery of high-quality services as part of the efforts to increase revenue for the Government.” The Tanzanian government owns the airport and the airports in ‘Oman’, a press release said.
