    Arab Tourism Ministerial Council 21st Regular Session Kicked off with Oman’s participation. The 21st regular session of the Arab Tourism Ministerial Council is chaired by Egypt.

    The Sultanate is participating in the meeting with a delegation led by Ahmed bin Nasser al-Mahrzi, Minister of Tourism.

    The Council will discuss several issues on the agenda, foremost of which is the “Sustainable Development 2030” plan in the tourism sector in the Arab region, the activation of the information hub and tourism statistics to support the Arab tourism strategy, the quality standards of tourism and travel agencies in the Arab countries, the challenges of Arab tourism security and the mechanisms of confrontation, in addition to the role of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in supporting Arab tourism and the development of mechanisms to explore new areas in which tourism requirements are met and to market them.

    The Council will also discuss the draft proposed vision for activating the joint work between the tourism and cultural sectors in the Arab countries, to be presented to the joint meeting of the Arab Ministers of Tourism and Culture on Tuesday to adopt them and then submit them to the fourth session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit to be held in Beirut next month for approval and implementation.
