Omanoil to open first services station in KSA this year

Oman Oil Marketing Company will open its first service station in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia near Dammam during the fourth quarter of 2018.  In an exclusive interview to OER, CEO David Kalife said the service station in Dammam would be much bigger than any service station in Oman and many other countries worldwide. The station would offer new services and convenient products as well as some innovative concepts, he added.
“We received our license at the end of 2015 to operate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will open our first service station – which we are currently building – during the fourth quarter of this year. The location is not far from Dammam: you will enjoy a mega site with a gigantic service station,” he said.
He added, “We are reinventing the concept of service station as a destination: we create “one stop service stations” where customers find a diversified and connected product and service offer. Our aim is to delight all customers and leave a joyful memory for each of them. We want to impact the quality of life.”
Talking about the status of Duqm Bunker Terminal Project, Kalife said the company has recently appointed WorleyParsons as the project management consultants for the project. To be commissioned in early 2021, the terminal is expected to be a major driver in development goals for the Port of Duqm. The project will continue to enhance the port’s premium service standards, improve cost effectiveness, also create efficient fuel supply and delivery to all customers within Duqm.  “We are proud to accompany the development of the Sultanate while being aligned with one of its five strategic pillars: logistic, manufacturing, tourism, employment and the labour market, and finance,” the CEO said.
