Omani investors keen to invest in Indian market

QBG Geojit Securities LLC, a Capital Market Authority (CMA) licensed Financial Intermediary in the Sultanate dealing in non-Omani securities, opened its new office in Al Ghubra recently.

Present at the event were HE Munu Mahawar, India’s Ambassador to the Sultanate, Shaikh Ahmed bin Sultan Saif al Hosni, Chairman of Qurum Business Group, Shaikh Abdul Aziz Al Hosni, Vice Chairman of Qurum Business Group and Chairman of QBG Geojit Securities and C J George, managing director of Geojit Financial Services Limited.

Shaikh Abdul Aziz Al Hosni said Indian economy is one of the leading economies in the world and Omani businessmen are keen to invest in such a vibrant market. “Manufacturing, infrastructure and the Indian stock market are key areas of investment for Omani businessmen. We are seeing a gradual increase in Omani businessmen investing in India over the past few years.”

QBG Geojit has been in the forefront of assisting and guiding Omani nationals and expatriate Indians to find new investment avenues. It has been providing guidance for the investors keen to invest in Indian and overseas Capital Markets.

As per a SEBI circular, transfer of physical shares will be suspended from April 1, 2019 and the only way to sell them is by dematerialisation.
