Oman’s National Programme For Investment Explores Initiatives

Oman’s National Programme for Investment and Exports Development explored and studied the initiatives implemented to ease the business atmosphere, and create a conducive market for entrepreneurs in the Sultanate.

The technical committee of the National Programme for Investment and Exports Development, a public drive codenamed ‘Nazdahir’, today [February 7] held its annual meeting under the auspices of Aseela Salim Al Samsami, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, chairperson of the committee.

The meeting brought together representatives of government departments concerned, and familiarised members about major initiatives undertaken by the programmes such as ‘Fast Track’, ‘Economic Diversification Investment Initiatives’, and the ‘Foreign Investor Residency’.

The meeting also looked into the 2022 annual plan, before it delegated tasks and roles to sectors tasked with enhancing the competitiveness of the investment climate in the Sultanate of Oman and the outcome of the Fast Track Initiative during 2021.

The National Programme for Investment and Exports Development is one of the efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion to improve entrepreneurship opportunities and experience, attract foreign investments, and expedite the implementation of investment projects.
